Description
Global Truss ST-180 Crank Stand (Lift Stand)
Thank you for choosing an ST-180 light stand from Global Truss America. This stand has been designed to provide a low loading height, achieved through a multi-mast configuration. The telescopic masts are constructed from treated steel and sized to deliver maximum rigidity under load. Special attention has been placed on operational safety. Spring-loaded safety pins provide secure locking during use, and as an additional safeguard, each mast can be secured with a tension knob to help prevent movement and maintain stable positioning.

Important Notes Before Raising Loads
- All equipment being raised must be secured with Global Truss TUV-rated clamps and safety cables prior to lifting.
- When using stands in pairs to lift trussing, one operator per stand is required.
- Keep hands and fingers clear of the steel cable and mast while lifting or lowering.
Attaching Truss
- Attach STSB-005 truss adapters (sold separately) to the round tube mast. Tighten the adapter tension knob to prevent spinning.
- Attach truss to the adapters and secure using the pin and cotter clips on the adjustable U-brackets.
Safety Notes
- Carefully inspect all parts before each use.
- Do not exceed load limits. The weight of the truss and all equipment mounted to the truss must be included in the load. Load must be evenly distributed.
- Use adequate safety measures when personnel are underneath loads. Use safety cables and TUV-rated clamps on all supported equipment.
- All electrical devices hung on truss/T-bars must conform to applicable electrical codes.
- Operate the stand only in the vertical position.
- Check moving parts regularly for damage and wear.
- Check the steel cable regularly for fraying.
- Do not use the stand if welds/materials are cracked or if the unit has been dropped.
- Do not move the stand when it is loaded.
- Do not use the stand to lift people.
- Do not lean ladders on the stand.
- Do not use the stand in extreme outdoor weather conditions. Proper guy wiring is required for outdoor use.
- Do not use the stand on soft surfaces.
- Do not lubricate the winch brake. Service must be performed by an authorized repair center.
- Service/inspect the stand at least once per year by an authorized service center (more often depending on usage).
