DJ lighting is a variant of stage or nightclub lighting that is used by mobile DJ’s, small to medium nightclubs and many late-night bars.
There are many different types of DJ lighting such as small moving heads, beam scanners which use a mirror to reflect beams of light that move around, twister-style effects that project multiple beams of light that rotate in a twisting style and also strobe lighting that flash intensely, Par Can lights and or LED Wash Bars as well as laser projectors. DJ lighting can be controlled by an internal sound activation programs, where the unit has a built-in sound to light function. Other control options are master-slave (daisy chain) and DMX control.
DJ lights has advanced over the years and are now mostly designed around LED light engines that produce a very bright white light that can be colored via dichroic light filter that changed the color of the light to many different colors you would expect for a DJ light or most common an array or group of LED diodes that a logic system blends the varying amounts of light from each LED diode to mix infinite color combinations. LED DJ lighting can come in many different configurations of LED array systems, RGB, RGBW, RGBAW and RGBAW+UV - these are abbreviations for RGBxxx) configurations, i.e, (Red, Green & Blue, White, Amber & Ultra-Violate - Mixing these different LED diodes can in theory can blend up to trillions of different light color combinations.
DJ lighting is also usually compact and mobile letting the DJ the ability to bring an amazing light show to any venue or event the DJ is ready to ROCK! - Don’t forget the fog machine to really kick up the lighting effects and give you performance that mind-blowing 3D lighting effect like you see in the super nightclubs, concerts or theatrical shows
